SSH is expanding rapidly. Shigeru Ban, Ryue Nishizawa and Kazuyo Sejima are among a growing roll call of top Japanese architects currently working on new SSH properties opening soon across Japan.

Further bolstering Karuizawa’s status as an architectural hub, SSH No.3, designed by award-winning architect Ryue Nishizawa, reflects an innovative contemporary riff on Japan’s traditional sukiya teahouse-style architecture, using hinoki cypress wood.
